Our scholarship application took a turn in 2024 and we’ve decided to roll with the change. Our giving now focuses on three categories: Adventure, Career Advancement, and Education. At this time we have a single application form for all three options. If your request falls into multiple categories, please do your best to select the category that is most applicable to your goals. Applications will open soon!

ADVENTURE

A trip, equipment, or experience that is out of reach without financial support. Examples are a guided trip up the Grand, or funding towards a film that someone wants to produce, or outdoor adventure gear to begin to enjoy a new pursuit. 

CAREER ADVANCEMENT

A course or certification that helps a woman further their career goals in outdoor pursuits. Examples might be Pro level avalanche courses, a WFR course, and AMGA certification courses.

EDUCATION

This scholarship is for anyone who would like to enjoy the mountains more safely and with more knowledge. Examples might include an Avy 1, mountain bike clinics, WFA course, or climbing courses to improve skills.

We want you to be creative and get dreamin’!

Below are some past scholarships that WITT has awarded:

• Advanced avalanche education course (Avy 1, Avy 2, PRO, etc.)

• Wilderness First Aid course and Wilderness First Responder courses

• Equipment to start or advance outdoor experiences (think ice axes, skis, etc)

• Registration fees/travel costs/etc for mountain bike races, skiing competitions, trail ultramarathons, or any other outdoor pursuit you can imagine. 

• Funding for an all ladies ski movie

• Funding for certifications for coaching (ex. nordic ski coach, mountain bike coach)

All women (transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people who identify with the women’s community are welcome and encouraged to apply for Women in the Tetons (WITT) scholarships!
